La primera vez que conté los números, estaban todos.
Menchu Gutiérrez, poetka samouk, pisarka, eseistka i tłumaczka. Urodziła się w 1957 roku w Madrycie, studiowała literaturę i sztuki piękne. Przez ponad dwadzieścia lat mieszkała w Kraju Basków, obecnie zamieszkuje na wsi w Kantabrii. Autorka utworów prozą, najważniejsze z nich to Viaje de estudios (1995), La tabla de las mareas (1998), La mujer ensimismada (2001), wszystkie wydane przez wyd. Siruela. Autorka fabularyzowanej biografii Św. Jana od Krzyża San Juan de la Cruz (Omega, 2003) oraz eseju literackiego o śniegu i jego metaforach Decir la nieve (Siruela, 2011). Tłumaczyła utwory autorów takich jak Edgar Alain Poe, William Faulkner, Jane Austen, Joseph Brodsky i inni. Publikowała również na łamach dodatków kulturalnych najważniejszych gazet hiszpańskich m. in. El País oraz ABC, pisała także dla magazynów i w dodatkach literackich. Wydała kilka tomów poezji: El grillo, la luz y la novia (Entregas de la Ventura, 1981), De barro la memoria (Endymión, 1987), La mordedura blanca (Premio Ricardo Molina, 1989), La mano muerta cuenta el dinero de la vida (Ave del Paraíso, 1997), El ojo de Newton (Pre-Textos, 2005) oraz Lo extraño, la raíz (Vaso Roto, 2015)
Menchu Gutiérrez, a self-taught poet, writer, essayist and translator. Born in Madrid in 1957, she studied literature and fine arts. She lived in the Basque Country for more than twenty years and currently resides in the countryside of Cantabria. Her most important prose works are: Viaje de estudios (1995), La tabla de las mareas (1998), La mujer ensimismada (2001), all published by Sirueala publishing house. Author of the fictionalized biography of Saint John of the Cross San Juan de la Cruz (Omega, 2003) and a literary essay on snow and his metaphors Decir la nieve (Siruela, 2011). She translated works by such authors as Edgar Allan Poe, William Faulkner, Jane Austen, Joseph Brodsky and others. She also published in the cultural supplements of the most important Spanish newspapers, e.g. El País and ABC, she also wrote for magazines and literary supplements. She published several volumes of poetry: El grillo, la luz y la novia (Entregas de la Ventura, 1981), De barro la memoria (Endymión, 1987), La mordedura blanca (Premio Ricardo Molina, 1989), La mano muerta cuenta el dinero de la vida (Ave del Paraíso, 1997), El ojo de Newton (Pre-Textos, 2005) and Lo extraño, la raíz (Vaso Roto, 2015).
Maria Filipowicz-Rudek, iberystka, doktor w dziedzinie literatury i przekładu, koordynator Centro de Estudos Galegos na UJ. Tłumaczka literatury hiszpańskiej i galicyjskiej, poezji i prozy takich autorów jak José Hierro, Claudio Rodríguez, Menchu Gutiérrez, Rosalía de Castro, Rafael Dieste i inni. Opublikowała „Almanach Galicyjski” (2003, 2007), periodyk poświęcony kulturze i literaturze Galicji oraz tom Policromía (2007) dotyczący języków i kultur mniejszościowych Półwyspu Iberyjskiego w studiach polskich.
Maria Filipowicz-Rudek, expert in Iberian studies, Ph.D. in literature and translation. Coordinator of Centro de Estudos Galegos at the Jagiellonian University. Translator of Spanish and Galician poetry and prose by authors such as José Hierro, Claudio Rodríguez, Menchu Gutiérrez, Rosalía de Castro, Rafael Dieste and others. She published Almanach Galicyjski (2003, 2007), a periodical devoted to the culture and literature of Galicia and a volume Policromía (2007) on minority languages and cultures of the Iberian Peninsula in Polish studies.
